Community Builders was formed with a primary goal: to address the shortage of entry-level and move-up housing opportunities for working people in the North Bay.

Community Builders takes a "smart-growth" approach to neighborhood development. By building smaller homes at higher densities on in-fill sites, land is used more efficiently; homes are more affordable; and new housing opportunities for the local workforce are provided closer to employment. Community Builders is committed to enhancing the quality of life for working families.

Community Builders emphasizes a community-based development process. This involves engaging the community at the initial planning stages to understand to understand the local needs, addressing the community goals and policies as outlined in the General Plan, and establishing a productive working relationship with community leaders. As a result of this outreach effort, the developer has received unanimous approval at every level of entitlement to date.
